I bought two step ladders for my wife to use in her kitchen and our bedroom. She was pregnant and had difficulty reaching for things on higher cabinets. I am glad I found a model that had a hand rail with a high arch. The hand rail helps make her more stable when she stands on the top step. For a better grip on our kitchen floor, I changed the molding of the step ladder’s base grip with a rubber base so the ladder does not slide. The ladder is light weight, very well made, and quite compact for its size. Even after my wife gave birth the ladders have remained to be permanent fixtures in our kitchen and bedroom. They are so handy and useful, and can just be folded to fit in a small corner. When I visited my sister’s house and saw her exerting effort to reach her high kitchen cabinet, I immediately both another ladder and gave it to her as a gift.
