Heading on Our Benidorm Holidays This Spring

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

We’re heading off on our Benidorm holidays at the beginning of March, and I’m really excited – we haven’t been on a family holiday together in a long time, so it will be a really good opportunity for the whole family to spend some quality time together. I think we’re going to take the baby as well, but we haven’t decided yet – we may leave it with Sarah’s parents.

The resort we’re staying at has a really nice pool, and is one of those hotels which backs out directly on to the beach, so we’ll have the best of both worlds. There are loads of great activities for us to do whilst we’re there as well, and Sarah has said that she’s really keen to get involved in some of the great watersports you can try there, such as para-sailing or water-skiing. Personally I’ve done both of them before, so am keen to try something new – I hear the hang-gliding in the area is really great.

Punta Cana Excursions & Tours

Sunday, December 11th, 2011

The best part of a trip to Punta Cana is going on at least one of the Punta Cana excursions that are available. We have our favorites of course and the Punta Cana excursions link that I just provided will take you to a page that is produced by one of the best ecotour companies we’ve ever had the pleasure of going out with.

When you go to the page above, pay special attention to the excursions they are calling, “the Saona Crusoe VIP” and the “2 Island Tour.” These are the two best tours in our opinion and if we had to pick just one of them, we probably pick the first one but the second one is very close.

When you contact them, you will notice immediately the difference in this company from others as the response will be warm and genuine and will provide you will incredibly accurate and detailed information. At least that is our experience.

Going Away at Christmas? Make Your Home Secure First

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

As the holidays rapidly approach we are all looking forward to a break and many of us will be leaving home for a few days to join family elsewhere. If this is you, make sure you think about what you are leaving behind. Burglars and other criminals target empty homes during holiday periods as they are “an easy picking”. To avoid calling the police or a locksmith, make an effort to check the locks on your doors and windows before you leave and follow this simple safety checklist.

  1. Fix any broken locks on windows and doors before you leave
  2. Make sure you’ve locked the back door as well as the front door
  3. Shut and lock all windows.
  4. Fit a timer on your lights so that they come on at night while you are away
  5. If possible fit exterior lighting at the front of your home to deter burglars
  6. Always set your alarm if you have one
  7. Don’t leave tools lying outside the house – they could be used to gain entry
  8. Ask a friend or neighbour to pick up your post and move it inside
  9. Cancel milk and newspaper deliveries

Most of all, have a very happy and relaxed break this Christmas and hopefully you won’t need to call the police or a locksmith on your return.

Excellent Food on Plane

Monday, November 21st, 2011

I was astounded the last time I flew with one of the smaller and cheaper airlines at how fantastic their food was. We had to cut a bit on the expenses, so we decided to go for cheap airport parking as well as a cheaper flight and I don’t think I will ever fly with the big companies again. The food was magnificent and the service was even better. Oh, and the food. It was worthy of kings. It might have been a simple meal, but it was well cooked and hearty, rich with flavor. You usually think that because they are cheap they will automatically be nasty and yet it was a pleasant surprise to realize that was not the case at all. I have to admit that the smaller airlines are really pulling out all the stops to make sure that their customers are taken care of. I have to admit, that is a feature I really appreciate and it has convinced me that flying with the smaller companies may just be the way to go in the future.

I Just Dig Reading Travel Blogs

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

I really do dig reading a lot of the travel blogs that I have been able to see on the internet. I just think that it is a very marvelous thing being able to read about someone’s great travels that they are able to do and write about in their very own way. I think that it would be great for me to be able to travel in this country of the USA. I just love being able to travel. I used to be able to travel when I was on vacation. I am not on vacation anymore and have to make sure that it is in my best interests to make sure that I keep myself open and always available to my work, no matter what. I have to work to earn my keep in this world. I will be traveling again and will be adding the travels in some travel blogs.

Cheap Kauai Condo Rentals

Monday, August 8th, 2011

If you are staying on Kauai Island, opting for Kauai condo rentals is more practical than staying in a hotel. Aside from giving you more privacy, Kauai condo rentals also offers home-like amenities that can make your stay a truly comfortable one. Finding Kauai condo rentals is not difficult, but finding cheap condo rentals may not be easy if you don’t know where to search for. If your budget affords you less than a thousand grand to spend on accommodation per week, there are condos that suit your budget perfectly. Pali Ke Kua in Princeville has comfortable one-bedroom condo that costs $840/week during low season and $900/week during high season. Another condo in Princeville is Sea Lodge. Its rate for one-bedroom unit is a bit cheaper, $700/week during low season and $750/week during high season. Emmerlani also has one-bedroom units costing $750 to $900/week in off-peak season and $850 to $1000 in peak season.

Crystal Costa Blanca

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Costa Blanca is one of the most beautiful portions of Spain. This country offers tourists a lot to both do and to see. There are thrilling cities here to choose for vacation. Alicante is one of the fine cities to consider. Looking at the Alicante map, you will be able to find locations of interest. These are great places to visit as couples or as a family. The surrounding cities of Benidorm and Torrevieja are also great locations. One of the reasons that tourists select this vacation spot is its proximity to the coast. You will find sensational sandy beaches, along with inviting turquoise waters. Isla Tabarca is a nice location to explore for a day trip. Vacationers enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and water sports here.

Finding the right hotel lodging is very important. There are a variety of hotels found throughout the city. These are lodgings that fit into virtually every category. You will find budget friendly accommodations and ones that are more luxurious. One of the affordable locations here is Pension Versalles. Another lodging to consider is the Amerigo Hotel. Once you’ve selected your hotel location, you can focus on the attractions in the area. There will also be great activities found in this location.
